Course content
1. Advanced Networking Concepts: This module covers advanced networking concepts, including network protocols, routing protocols, network design principles, and network troubleshooting methodologies. Students gain a deep understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, and network segmentation.
2. Network Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Students learn how to design, implement, and manage network infrastructures. They study topics such as network architecture, LAN and WAN technologies, network hardware components, and network cabling. They also learn about network scalability, redundancy, and high availability.
3. Network Security: This module focuses on network security principles and practices. Students learn about securing network devices, implementing firewalls and intrusion detection systems (IDS), configuring virtual private networks (VPNs), and conducting vulnerability assessments. They also gain knowledge about network security policies and compliance frameworks.
4. Routing and Switching Technologies: Students delve into advanced routing and switching concepts. They learn about dynamic routing protocols, such as OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) and EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol), as well as switch configurations, VLANs (Virtual Local Area Networks), and spanning tree protocols.
5. Wireless Networking: Students explore wireless networking technologies and concepts. They learn about wireless standards, access points, wireless security protocols, and deployment considerations. They also gain knowledge about troubleshooting wireless network issues and optimizing wireless performance.
6. Network Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Students learn how to monitor and optimize network performance. They study network monitoring tools and techniques, analyze network traffic patterns, and identify and resolve network performance issues. They also learn about quality of service (QoS) mechanisms to ensure optimal network performance.
7. Network Virtualization and Cloud Technologies: This module covers network virtualization concepts and cloud technologies. Students learn about virtualization platforms, such as VMware or Hyper-V, and how to design and configure virtual networks. They also gain an understanding of cloud networking models, such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).
8. Network Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Students develop advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve network issues. They learn about troubleshooting methodologies, network diagnostic tools, and techniques for resolving network-related problems. They also gain knowledge about incident management and change management processes.
9. Network Documentation and Reporting: This module focuses on the importance of network documentation and reporting. Students learn how to create network diagrams, maintain documentation of network configurations, and generate network performance reports. They also gain an understanding of documentation best practices and standards.

Professional Development and Industry Certifications: This module emphasizes professional development skills and encourages students to pursue industry certifications relevant to network support and engineering, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA).
Assessment
The assessment is done via submission of assignment. There are no written exams.
